Here is a first glimpse at the Wembley2rio concept.

With the help of sponsors, partners & individuals like yourselves, this can be a life changing reality, with the aim of raising awareness and money for some incredible charities. The journey will take us four months, through over 20 countries, setting off from our very own Wembley stadium, and arriving at the iconic Maracana stadium, home of the 2014 World Cup final.

“The long way round” will take us across Europe & through the hazardous terrain of Eastern Russia to Magadan, before a transfer to the Alaskan port of Anchorage. We then face the daunting journey from the last frontier southwards, travelling the length of North America, and across Central America, before arriving in Rio de Janeiro in time for the opening ceremony. We plan to use this unique opportunity to raise awareness of a number of underprivileged foundations and engage with these groups through football, from flick ups to signed Home Nations merchandise.

Whilst in the early stages of planning, we are currently opening discussions with a number of influential global corporations, as well as our chosen partners. We’ll keep you updated on the journey here, as well as our facebook and twitter pages.
